Ingredients
8 pre-packaged rice cereal treats, unwrapped
4 paper straws, cut in half
1/4 cup (60 g) white candy melts
1/2 cup (140 g) red candy melts
1/2 cup (140 g) blue candy melts
3 tbsp red, white, and blue sprinkles
1 tsp vegetable oil (optional, for smoothing candy melts)
Instructions
• Line a baking tray with parchment paper and unwrap all rice cereal treats.
• Insert half a paper straw into one end of each treat to create a handle.
• Melt the white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 20 to 30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
• Dip the tip of each straw into the melted white candy, then reinsert into the treats to secure. Let set briefly.
• Melt the red candy melts using the same method until smooth and glossy.
• Hold each treat by the straw and dip half of it into the red candy coating.
• Tap gently to remove excess coating, then place on parchment paper to set.
• Melt the blue candy melts in a clean bowl until smooth.
• Dip another section of each treat into the blue candy, slightly overlapping the red layer.
• Immediately add sprinkles over the blue coating before it sets.
• Allow all treats to rest on parchment paper until fully set.
• Reheat the white candy melts until smooth again.
• Transfer melted white candy into a zip-top bag, cut a small corner, and drizzle over the red portion of each treat.
• Let the treats fully set before serving or storing.

Ensure candy melts are heated slowly to avoid burning or thickening.
If candy melts become too thick, mix in a small amount of vegetable oil for a smoother texture.
