Ingredients
12 Double Stuff sandwich cookies
200 grams (7 oz) vanilla almond bark or white candy coating (about 2 cups melted)
2 small tubes red decorating icing (about 40 grams total)
1 small tube blue decorating icing (about 20 grams)
2 tablespoons white star sprinkles
12 plastic treat sticks (6 inches)
12 cellophane pop bags
12 ribbons or twist ties
1 sheet parchment paper
Instructions
• Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and set up all ingredients within reach
• Place almond bark or white candy coating in a microwave safe bowl and heat for 60 seconds then stir until smooth
• Continue heating in short intervals of 30 seconds stirring each time until fully melted and creamy
• Insert a treat stick into the center of each sandwich cookie about three quarters of the way through without breaking it
• Spoon melted coating over one side of the cookie and spread evenly then tap gently to remove excess
• Flip the cookie and coat the other side ensuring the entire cookie is fully covered
• Place coated cookies onto parchment paper and allow them to set at room temperature or refrigerate until firm
• Use blue decorating icing to create a small corner section on each pop
• Add red icing lines across the remaining surface to create a striped pattern
• Place white star sprinkles onto the blue icing area before it sets
• Allow the decorated Oreo pops to dry completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator
• Insert each pop into a cellophane bag and secure with ribbon or twist ties for presentation

Allow coating to cool slightly before dipping to avoid overly thin coverage
If coating thickens during use reheat briefly and stir until smooth
