Description

A rich and creamy Slow Cooker Creamy Tuscan Pasta made with Horizon Heavy Cream, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, garlic, Italian seasoning, and Cabot Shredded Parmesan for a flavorful and comforting pasta dish.


Ingredients

12 oz penne pasta

1 cup Horizon Heavy Cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup sun dried tomatoes, chopped

2 cups fresh spinach

1 cup Cabot Shredded Parmesan

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh basil, for garnish


Instructions

1. Combine Horizon Heavy Cream, chicken broth, chopped sun dried tomatoes, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker, stir in the uncooked penne pasta making sure it is fully submerged in the liquid, cover and cook on low until the pasta becomes tender and creamy, stir in the fresh spinach and Cabot Shredded Parmesan until the spinach wilts and the cheese melts, serve warm topped with fresh basil

Notes

Use sturdy pasta like penne, rigatoni, or ziti so it holds up well during slow cooking

If the sauce thickens after cooking or reheating, add a splash of chicken broth or heavy cream to adjust texture

Flavor varies depending on the type of sun dried tomatoes used, so adjust salt at the end if needed
