Description
A warm and fluffy protein mug cake vanilla made with alcohol free vanilla flavor and clean protein powder. This quick single serve dessert cooks in one minute and delivers a soft, sweet, and satisfying texture.
Ingredients
One scoop alcohol free vanilla protein powder such as Orgain Organic Protein Powder or Naked Nutrition Vanilla Protein
Half teaspoon baking powder
One tablespoon coconut flour
One teaspoon maple syrup
One large egg
One quarter cup milk
One quarter teaspoon alcohol free vanilla flavor such as Simply Organic Alcohol Free Vanilla or Watkins Clear Vanilla Flavor
Chocolate chips optional
Instructions

2. Lightly grease a microwave safe mug with cooking spray.
3. In a small bowl mix the protein powder baking powder and coconut flour until combined.
4. Whisk the egg milk maple syrup and alcohol free vanilla flavor in another bowl.
5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until the batter is smooth.
6. Pour the batter into the greased mug and add chocolate chips on top if desired.
7. Microwave for about 60 seconds until the center is set and the cake rises.

Notes
Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for six to seven minutes for a richer cake texture.
Use an egg substitute and plant based milk and protein powder for a vegan version.
Add sprinkles and almond flavor for a birthday cake style variation.

Best enjoyed immediately but can be stored covered in the refrigerator for one day.
