Description

A warm and comforting Nostalgic American Goulash made with seasoned ground beef, tender macaroni, and a rich tomato based sauce finished with melty cheddar for a classic and hearty one pot meal.

Ingredients

olive oil, 2 tablespoon

onion diced, 1 medium

green bell pepper diced, 1

lean ground beef, 1 lb

garlic cloves minced, 3

beef broth, 2 and 1 half cups

tomato sauce 15 oz, 1 can

petite diced tomatoes 15 oz, 1 can

macaroni noodles uncooked, 1 and 1 half cups

Crystal Worcestershire Sauce, 2 tablespoon

Italian seasoning, 1 tablespoon

bay leaves, 2

paprika, 1 teaspoon

salt, 1 half teaspoon

pepper, 1 half teaspoon

Tillamook Sharp Cheddar Shredded Cheese, 1 cup

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium high heat and cook onion and bell pepper until soft.

Add ground beef and cook until browned, then stir in minced garlic briefly.

Pour in beef broth, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Crystal Worcestershire Sauce, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper then simmer covered for twenty minutes.

Add macaroni and cook until al dente while stirring occasionally.

Remove bay leaves and stir in Tillamook Sharp Cheddar Shredded Cheese until melted then serve warm.

Notes

The consistency should be hearty and slightly saucy not too thick or watery.

If the sauce thickens too much add a small splash of broth or water.

Taste before serving and adjust salt or pepper as needed.
