Description
A quick microwave apple crisp with no sugar, made in minutes with diced apples, oats, light butter, cinnamon, and alcohol free graham style crumbs. Warm, soft, and comforting with a naturally sweet flavor.
Ingredients
100 g apple, peeled and diced
2 tablespoons sugar free pancake syrup
1 tablespoon light butter
1 tablespoon quick oats
1 tablespoon graham style crumbs from alcohol free crackers such as Annie’s Organic Graham Crackers or Kinnikinnick S’moreables
1/4 teaspoon apple pie spice or cinnamon

2. Peel and dice the apple into small even pieces.
3. Add the diced apple to a microwave safe mug with the sugar free pancake syrup and stir to coat.
4. Microwave the apple mixture for seventy five to ninety seconds until softened.
5. In a separate bowl, mix the light butter, quick oats, graham style crumbs, and apple pie spice until it resembles damp sand.
6. Spoon the oat mixture on top of the softened apples.
7. Microwave again for about ninety seconds until the topping is warm and slightly crisp.
8. Let the apple crisp rest for one to two minutes before serving.
9. Top with whipped cream, low calorie ice cream, or yogurt if desired.
Notes
If you do not have graham style crumbs, substitute crushed cereal, crushed sweet crackers, or a spoonful of flour.
Quick oats work best for fast cooking and a soft crisp texture.
To enhance sweetness, add a pinch of calorie free sweetener to the filling or topping.
Letting the crisp rest for one to two minutes improves the texture of the topping.
Refrigerate leftovers for up to two days in an airtight container and reheat for twenty to thirty seconds.
