Description

Luscious Frozen Punch Slush Mix is a refreshing fruity beverage made with citrus juices, strawberry flavor, and fizzy lemon lime soda. This vibrant slush drink is perfect for gatherings and warm days, offering a balance of sweet and tangy flavors with an icy texture.

Ingredients

6 cups water

2.5 cups granulated white sugar

2 packets (3 oz each) strawberry flavored gelatin made with agar agar

46 fl oz pineapple juice (1 can)

0.67 cup fresh lemon juice

1 quart (4 cups) orange juice

2 bottles (2 liters each) lemon lime soda (Sprite, 7UP, or Sierra Mist)

Instructions

• Add water, sugar, and strawberry gelatin to a large saucepan and heat over medium heat

• Bring the mixture to a gentle boil while stirring until sugar dissolves completely

• Continue boiling for about 3 minutes to activate the gelatin

• Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly

• Stir in pineapple juice, lemon juice, and orange juice until fully combined

• Divide the mixture evenly into two freezer safe containers

• Cover and freeze until completely solid, usually overnight

• When ready to serve, place one frozen portion into a punch bowl

• Pour one bottle of lemon lime soda over the frozen mixture

• Stir gently until the mixture forms a slushy texture

• Repeat with remaining frozen base and soda as needed

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for brighter flavor and better balance

Do not over freeze the mixture into a hard block, allow slight softness for easier mixing

Adjust sugar levels to taste if you prefer a lighter drink

Mix with soda only before serving to maintain carbonation and freshness

Store frozen base tightly sealed for up to 2 weeks
