Description

A simple and comforting lazy ravioli lasagna made with cheese ravioli, marinara, ground beef, and melted mozzarella for an easy layered baked pasta dinner.

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef 90/10

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 jar Rao’s Marinara Sauce

20 oz Cappello’s Five Cheese Ravioli or Taste Republic Four Cheese Ravioli

2 cups Tillamook Shredded Mozzarella or Organic Valley Shredded Mozzarella

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F and warm a skillet over medium high heat. Add the ground beef with Italian seasoning and cook until fully browned while breaking it apart.

Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce across the bottom of a baking dish to prevent sticking and help soften the ravioli.

Arrange half of the cheese ravioli in a single layer over the sauce. Add half of the cooked beef on top and sprinkle with mozzarella.

Spoon more marinara over the layer and place the remaining ravioli on top. Add the rest of the beef and pour on the remaining sauce.

Cover the top with the remaining mozzarella and bake until bubbly and the cheese is fully melted.

Let the lasagna rest for several minutes before slicing so the layers settle and hold together.

Notes

If using frozen ravioli, increase the bake time by 10 to 15 minutes and cover with foil for the first portion of baking to prevent the cheese from browning too quickly.

You can assemble the entire dish ahead of time and refrigerate it for up to a day before baking. Add a few extra minutes to the bake time when cooking from chilled.

Refrigerate leftovers in airtight containers for up to three days or freeze individual portions for longer storage.
