Description

A quick and flavorful skillet dish made with shrimp, broccoli, honey, garlic, ginger, and a smooth savory glaze. This recipe creates a balanced sweet and savory profile with a glossy finish that coats every bite. Served over rice or pasta, it becomes a light and satisfying meal ready in minutes.

Ingredients

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup Bragg Liquid Aminos or Coconut Secret Coconut Aminos

1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger

2 tablespoons minced garlic

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined with tails removed if desired

2 tablespoons butter

2 cups chopped broccoli

1 teaspoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. In a bowl, mix honey, Bragg Liquid Aminos or Coconut Secret Coconut Aminos, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes until smooth.

2. Place the shrimp in a bowl and coat with one third of the mixed sauce.

3. Whisk cornstarch into the remaining sauce and set aside.

4. Heat a skillet on high, add olive oil, broccoli, salt, and pepper, then cook until softened and bright green before removing from the pan.

5. Add butter to the skillet, then add the shrimp and cook until pink on each side.

6. Pour the reserved thickened sauce into the skillet and let it simmer until glossy.

7. Return the broccoli to the skillet and toss until coated and heated through.

8. Serve over warm rice or pasta for a complete meal.

Notes

Marinating the shrimp for at least thirty minutes will create deeper flavor.

Large shrimp sear well and stay juicy, though smaller shrimp work if cooked quickly.

Shrimp tails add a pleasant look but can be removed.

Frozen broccoli can be used when fully thawed and dried to prevent steaming.

Adjust the red pepper flakes for more or less heat depending on taste.
