Ingredients
2 pie crusts (2 x 8 oz / 230 g each)
1 cup (240 ml) sour cream (Daisy Sour Cream or Breakstone’s Sour Cream or Organic Valley Sour Cream)
3 large egg yolks
4 tablespoons (50 g) granulated sugar
1 can (21 oz / 595 g) cherry pie filling
1 can (21 oz / 595 g) blueberry pie filling
1 tablespoon (15 ml) milk
Instructions
• Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9 inch pie plate
• Roll out one pie crust and press it into the pie plate, trimming edges neatly
• In a bowl, mix sour cream, 2 egg yolks, and sugar until smooth and creamy
• Spread the mixture evenly over the bottom crust
• Add cherry pie filling over two thirds of the crust and spread evenly
• Add blueberry pie filling over the remaining one third section
• Roll out the second pie crust and cut into strips or desired shapes
• Arrange the top crust in a lattice or full cover design and seal edges
• Mix remaining egg yolk with milk and brush over the top crust
• Place pie on a baking sheet and bake for 60 to 70 minutes until golden brown
• Check after 30 minutes and cover edges with foil if browning too quickly
• Remove from oven and cool for 1 hour before slicing and serving
Notes
Use chilled pie crust for a flakier texture
Do not overfill to prevent spilling during baking
