3. Shape the mixture into four even patties and press a small indent in the center of each patty
4. Preheat an outdoor grill or indoor grill pan until hot and lightly oil the surface
5. Place the patties on the grill and cook on each side until browned and the internal temperature reaches at least one hundred sixty degrees Fahrenheit
6. Remove the patties and let them rest briefly so the juices redistribute
7. Lightly toast the hamburger buns until golden to add warmth and structure
8. Place a patty on each bun and add toppings such as lettuce, tomato, or pickles along with melted cheese or your preferred condiments
9. Serve immediately while the burgers are hot and flavorful
