Description

Date Snickers is a no bake dessert made with chewy Medjool dates, creamy peanut butter, smooth dark chocolate, and flaky sea salt. It delivers the familiar flavor combination people love in a simple homemade treat that feels indulgent yet balanced. This recipe is easy to prepare, requires minimal equipment, and is perfect for snacks, dessert, or make ahead treats.

Ingredients

Sugar free dark chocolate chips

Coconut oil in solid form

Medjool dates that have been pitted

Natural peanut butter either smooth or crunchy

Flaky sea salt

Instructions

1. Place the dark chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl and heat gently while stirring often until mostly melted

2. Add the solid coconut oil to the warm chocolate and continue heating briefly until fully melted then stir until smooth and glossy

3. Arrange the pitted Medjool dates on a baking tray lined with parchment or wax paper

4. Gently open each date along the natural seam without tearing it apart

5. Fill the center of each date generously with peanut butter while keeping the filling inside

6. Drizzle the melted chocolate evenly over the filled dates using a spoon

7. Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the chocolate while it is still wet

8. Allow the dates to set at room temperature until the chocolate firms up or place them in the freezer until fully hardened

Notes

Use fresh and soft Medjool dates for the best texture and flavor

Stir peanut butter well before using to ensure a smooth and creamy filling

Melt chocolate slowly to prevent scorching or thickening

If the chocolate becomes too thick add a small amount of warm coconut oil and stir gently

These treats can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer for longer freshness
