Ingredients

1 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts

1/2 cup melted butter

2 large egg whites

1 cup granulated white sugar

2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 cup cold heavy cream

Instructions

• Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish

• Line a baking sheet with foil and mix flour, brown sugar, walnuts, and melted butter until crumbly

• Spread mixture on baking sheet and toast for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until fragrant

• Press two thirds of the toasted mixture into the baking dish to form the crust

• In a bowl, whip egg whites with lemon juice until soft peaks form

• Gradually add sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form

• Gently fold in sliced strawberries

• In another bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff but smooth

• Fold whipped cream into strawberry mixture carefully to keep it airy

• Spread mixture evenly over the crust in the dish

• Top with remaining walnut mixture

• Freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight until firm
