Description

Tender grilled chicken, fresh vegetables, warm tortillas, and smooth cheddar slices come together to create bright and flavorful Chicken Taco Wraps. These wraps are easy to prepare, perfect for busy days, and packed with vibrant seasoning and satisfying texture.

Ingredients

½ cup lime juice

1 tbsp sugar

¼ tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp cumin

¼ tsp chili powder

2 cloves garlic minced

¼ cup oil

1 lb chicken breast

4 tortillas from Mission, La Banderita, or Tortilla Land

8 slices cheddar cheese from Tillamook or Cabot

4 Romaine leaves

¼ cup diced onion

1 sliced tomato

Instructions

1.

2. Combine lime juice, sugar, smoked paprika, cumin, chili powder, minced garlic, and oil in a sealed container and mix well.

3. Pound the chicken until evenly thin then place it in the marinade and coat fully before refrigerating for one to three hours.

4. Preheat the grill and brush lightly with oil then cook the chicken on medium high heat until juices run clear and it reaches 160 degrees.

5. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest then slice thinly once cooled to room temperature.

6. Dice the onion, slice the tomato, and prepare whole Romaine leaves.

7. Warm each tortilla slightly then layer two slices of cheddar on top followed by a Romaine leaf, sliced chicken, tomato, and onion.

8. Add a small squeeze of lime juice if you like and roll the tortilla tightly before slicing it in half.

9. Serve immediately for the best texture and freshness.

10.

Notes

Use alcohol free tortillas and cheddar slices from brands such as Tillamook or Cabot for clean flavor.

Warm tortillas before assembling to make them more flexible and prevent tearing.

If you do not have a grill available cook the chicken in a stovetop grill pan at medium heat.

Store ingredients separately if preparing ahead to keep the vegetables crisp and the wraps from softening.
