A rich and comforting Chicken Marsala made with tender chicken, mushrooms, onions, creamy sauce, grape juice, broth and smooth dairy for a warm flavorful dish.
Ingredients
Chicken breasts sliced and pounded
Olive oil
All purpose flour
Salt
Pepper
Butter
Mushrooms sliced
Onion diced
Garlic minced
Welch’s Red Grape Juice
Chicken broth
Organic Valley Heavy Whipping Cream
Instructions
1. Slice chicken breasts lengthwise and pound them to an even thickness.
2. Warm olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
3. Mix flour with salt and pepper then coat each chicken piece lightly.
4. Cook chicken pieces in batches until golden and fully cooked then set aside.
5. Add butter to the skillet then add mushrooms and diced onions and cook until softened.
6. Add flour and minced garlic and stir briefly.
7. Pour in Welch’s Red Grape Juice and let it simmer to blend with vegetables.
8. Add chicken broth and Organic Valley Heavy Whipping Cream and bring to a gentle boil.
9. Reduce heat and simmer until the sauce thickens and turns golden.
10. Return chicken to the skillet and let it warm in the sauce before serving.
Notes
You can adjust the sauce thickness by simmering longer or adding a splash of broth.
Increase or decrease mushrooms and onions based on taste.
The grape juice provides depth similar to traditional Marsala flavor while keeping the dish smooth and balanced.
