Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken shredded sliced or diced

1 ripe avocado diced or sliced

1/2 cup shredded Cabot Cheddar or Tillamook Mozzarella or Sargento Mozzarella

1/4 cup Daisy Sour Cream or Chosen Foods Avocado Oil Mayo or Sir Kensington’s Classic Mayo

2 tablespoons chopped cilantro

1 tablespoon fresh lime or lemon juice

4 large flour tortillas such as Mission Foods Soft Flour Tortillas La Banderita Burrito Flour Tortillas or TortillaLand Uncooked Tortillas

1 teaspoon neutral oil for the pan such as canola or avocado oil

Optional seasoning pinch of paprika garlic powder onion powder black pepper

Optional hot sauce Texas Pete Original Hot Sauce Crystal Hot Sauce or Sriraja Panich Hot Sauce

Instructions

Combine the cooked chicken shredded or diced with the shredded cheese diced avocado and your chosen sauce in a medium bowl

Gently fold in the cilantro and lime or lemon juice keeping the avocado in small chunks for texture

Lay a warm tortilla on the work surface and place a portion of the filling along the center

Fold in the sides and roll the tortilla forward to form a tight wrap ensuring the seam is tucked underneath

Heat a pan or griddle over medium high heat and add a small amount of oil to coat the surface

Place the wraps seam side down and cook until the tortilla is lightly golden on the bottom then flip to crisp the other side

Remove from the pan and let the wraps rest briefly before serving for easier slicing and neater presentation

Notes

Use ripe but firm avocado for best texture and add lime juice right away to keep the avocado bright

Warm tortillas slightly before assembling to prevent tearing and to make rolling easier

Adjust the filling thickness by adding more chicken or more sauce to reach a balanced consistency

Choose Cabot or Tillamook cheeses for good melting quality and clean flavor

If you prefer more heat add a dash of Texas Pete Crystal or Sriraja to the filling or to the finished wrap
