Description

Cheesecake Trifle Layered Red, White & Blue is a creamy, fruity, and visually stunning dessert made with soft cake cubes, rich cheesecake filling, and fresh berries. This easy no-bake dessert is perfect for gatherings and can be prepared ahead for convenience.

Ingredients

1 prepared angel food cake or pound cake, 12 to 15 oz (340 to 425 g), cut into 1½-inch cubes

26 oz (740 g) fresh blueberries

20 oz (570 g) fresh strawberries, sliced lengthwise

2 cups (480 ml) heavy whipping cream

1½ teaspoons vanilla flavor (Simply Organic Vanilla Flavor or Watkins Clear Vanilla Flavor)

¾ cup (90 g) powdered sugar, adjust to taste

12 oz (340 g) whipped cream cheese (Philadelphia Cream Cheese or Tillamook Cream Cheese)

6 to 8 fresh blackberries

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

• Cut the cake into evenly sized cubes about 1½ inches wide and set aside

• Wash and dry all berries, then slice strawberries lengthwise for better presentation

• In a large bowl, whisk heavy cream, vanilla flavor, and powdered sugar until slightly thickened like soft pudding

• Add cream cheese gradually and mix until smooth and creamy with no lumps

• Transfer the mixture into a piping bag or resealable plastic bag for easy layering

• Pipe one third of the cheesecake filling into the bottom of a trifle dish and spread evenly

• Arrange cake cubes around the outer edge and fill the center with more cubes

• Place strawberry slices between cake cubes along the outer edge with pointed ends facing down

• Add a layer of blueberries around the edge, stacking slightly for height

• Add a few cake cubes in the center and gently press to level the layer

• Repeat layers of cheesecake filling, cake cubes, strawberries, and blueberries until the dish is full

• Finish with remaining cheesecake filling and decorate with blueberries, blackberries, and mint leaves

• Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving and serve chilled with a long spoon

Notes

Keep berries mainly along the outer edges to maintain a balanced texture and visual appeal

Avoid overwhipping the cream to prevent a dense or stiff filling

Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing powdered sugar based on preference

This dessert can be prepared one day ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator

Use a clear glass dish for best presentation of layered colors

Serve chilled for the best flavor and texture experience
