Description
Barcelona Burgers with roasted pepper sauce juicy beef patties melted cheddar and crisp lettuce on toasted bread.
Ingredients
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil plus more for brushing
9 slices Dave’s Killer Bread lightly toasted
2 cloves garlic crushed
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup chopped jarred roasted red peppers
1 tablespoon Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Kosher salt
1 1/2 pounds ground beef chuck
2 shallots finely grated
4 slices Tillamook Medium Cheddar
Lettuce leaves
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a skillet and toast pieces of bread with garlic until golden then add almonds and cook until golden.
Blend toasted bread garlic almonds roasted peppers vinegar olive oil paprika and salt until slightly chunky.
Mix ground beef shallots salt and paprika then form into patties.
Cook patties in a skillet until browned flip and top with cheddar until melted.
Spread pepper sauce on toasted bread add lettuce and place patties inside to assemble burgers.
Notes
Use beef chuck for juicy patties.
Avoid overmixing the meat to keep texture tender.
Toast the bread lightly so it holds the sauce well.
Store leftover patties separately from bread and sauce.
