Description
These Salted Maple Pecan Pie Bars offer the perfect sweet-and-salty balance with a buttery crust, maple-infused filling, and a sprinkle of sea salt. Ideal for holidays or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 cups flour (plus a few more tablespoons if necessary)
2 large eggs
3/4 cup corn syrup
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups pecans
Coarse sea salt for topping
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and 1 cup brown sugar.
3. Add the flour and beat until coarse crumbs form. If the mixture is too soft, add a little more flour.
4. Press the mixture into a 9×13 baking dish.
5. Bake crust for 12–15 minutes until dry and slightly puffed.
6. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, corn syrup, 3/4 cup brown sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla.
7. Stir in the pecans.
8. Pour the filling over the warm crust and arrange pecans evenly.
9. Return to the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes until the filling is mostly set.
10. Remove and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
11. Cool completely, then refrigerate overnight.
12. Cut into 24 pieces and serve slightly chilled.
Notes
Chilling overnight is essential for clean slicing.
You can use parchment paper to lift bars out easily.
For deeper maple flavor, use Grade B maple syrup.
